Friday afternoon painting in Room 16

This afternoon Room 16 began painting their  "summer paintings"  The first step in the process is to paint our background.

Kiwisport

Today we had our 1st Kiwisport session with Mrs Grant and Mr Geraffe.

"We are learning about using our eyes and how  to keep ourselves safe" said Stella.

ASB Getwise Visit

Today  Serena from ASB came to talk to us about money and banking.

We learnt about Eftpos Cards and Credit Cards.  We played the Scooter Game.

Our 1st assembly for Term 3 yaaaay! 1 week down and 8 more to go.

Congratulations to Andreas for receiving our Principals Certificate for being an excellent role model during our Olympic Torch Assembly.  Well done Andreas!

Olympic Torch arrives at Sunnyhills School

This morning the Olympic Torch arrived at our school.  Rooms 16, 20 and 21 ran an Olympic Relay in slow motion with the torch.  Then Andreas, Olivia and Andrew took the torch to some interested classrooms.

We all had fun, even though Room 16 came last, it was about sportsmanship, fairplay, and peace on earth!!!!

Back to School

Good morning everyone today is our first day back at school for Term 3 2016.

Firstly we had 5 children celebrating their 8th birthdays during the holidays Lauren Rajeev Ian Leo Stella Happy Birthday! 

We have 1 Chicken Pox case and an  Appendix.  Also 1 child in China 2 children in Samoa - Wow Room 16 what an exciting holiday break.

We are now ready for a learning filled term.

Our Inquiry

It is our second to last day if Term 2.  We are finishing up our inquiry on Janine and Charles Williams.  We are recording the process we used to paint our birds.
