On Thursday last week our class and Room 20 visited Room 8 BMP school in Otara to look at their Charles and Janine Williams inspired artwork. We had a great time learning about how our big buddies created their art. We got to see a powerpoint presentation and lots of pictures of their art work.
Room 20 and 16's Art Journey has begun and can't wait to see our finished art hopefully near the end of the term.

Whole School Assembly Friday 17 June
Todays' assembly is really special for us. We finally get to perform our song to the whole school.
Last term we created a dance to Meaghan Trainor's "Better When I'm Dancing." Samantha chose our song and we all created the different moves.
We were supposed to perform at the last whole school assembly but there was a power cut.
Whaea thinks we did really really well and she was very proud of us.

Our Enviro Tech Challenge
Today Room 16 read Weslandia by Paul Fleischman, with Mrs Daniel. We talked about the author's messages about sustainability, innovation and being true to yourself.
Next we broke into teams to take part in a tech challenge. Could we build a tower for Weslandia with 20 bamboo skewers, Blutak and 3 rubber bands?
Yes we could! It took lots of talking, problem solving and quite a few fails before BINGO success! Well done Leon, Jenny & Tiffany for creating the tallest tower.
